Vanessa was on the Interiors team at Harrods when I first met her.
We had engaged them to do a complete refurb of an Arts & Crafts property in Gloucestershire. I had hired a local architect to take care of the planning and to do a complete rejig of the layout of the property, with Vanessa’s input.
I had a very clear idea of what I was after including several ideas concerning specific items and features I wanted incorporated into the scheme. Vanessa was very good at listening and keeping my budget in mind in order to ultimately produce what I had envisaged. I was abroad for the majority of the work so we had a lot of Skype sessions. Vanessa also effectively project managed, even though she and the team were London-based, and I was on the other side of the world!
So, when a second project emerged in London, I didn’t hesitate to pick up the phone to Vanessa to oversee it. A tight rein on the budget was of the utmost importance and she was always meticulously conscious of this. Vanessa’s knowledge of colours and fabrics are always a huge help.
We had a few problems with my builders, but Vanessa was able to problem-solve and get the best results from her team.
I will not hesitate to hire her again for other projects in the future.
